I have a challenging assignment with which I could use the communities help. I need to show three ways to get exernal data, lookup tables if you will, into a 3 or 4 level multi-select field-set. I'm just starting my research and only have a short timeframe to complete this task. Any suggestions as to apps, custom development, etc would be greatly appreciated.
An example might be:
Continent --> Region -->Country --> Cities
(where multiple cities across countries, regions, and continents can be selected).
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
After testing several potential solutions including the one listed above, we ultimately settled on Elements Connect which not only fulfilled the original requirements but others added after-the-fact by the product owner, such as the ability to read a JSON input file. The scale of the Jira installation with which I'm working demand flawless performance and this add-on appears to deliver it along with tremendous flexibility and configurability.
Looks like a good solution. thanks for following back up on the post w/ your results!

something like this? - multi-level-cascading-select
I don't have any experience w/ this Larry. Just a quick search in the Marketplace TBH.

Thanks @Jack Brickey! - I did some searching but clearly my search-fu was weak as this one completely slipped my results. I also refrained from listing what I had found so it didn't sway other responses so now I have 4 options - woohoo! I'll report back once I do a little testing and have some results. (I'm also holding off on marking answers so that perhaps the post will still attract some attention.)

To follow up on my prior commitment to write some follow-up regarding whether or not this tools will work, I am happy to say that it will. It was not the solution we used but in the testing we did, it fulfilled the requirements we had. (We had additional requirements added after-the-fact by the Product Owner which ultimately eliminated this add-on.
