I am trying to link multiple issues in Jira and when I close one of the tickets, I would like to have them all close. Is this possible?
@William Yamashita, welcome to the Community. You can't do this OOTB, you would need an addon like Scriptrunner or Power Scripts. However, I would encourage you to think carefully about the solution as I suspect others would not want to have that same behavior and suddenly see their issues being inexplicably closed. All that means is to make the scripted rules very specific to your needs. If this is a onetime or occasional action maybe consider creating a filter when needed an perform a bulk update to transition them.
Thanks for the response @Jack Brickey . My intention is that if one of our tickets is directly related or dependent on another and you close the dependent issue, then both would close. Is the script runner easy to learn?

yes it is pretty straightforward at least for what you are trying to do. I would go to the Marketplace and review the various automation addons. It might be that Automation for Jira would also meet your needs and there is a free version (Lite) available. You can always trial the addon before buying.

Hi Jack,
I think I asked the wrong question. If I wanted to link issues that are related and wish to have a master ticket and assign other tickets (again, all related), to it, and then have the ability to close the master and have all of the sub tickets close as well. Can this be done OOTB?

I am not on server but am pretty sure that does not exist. You can investigate addons, e.g. Scriptrunner, Power Scripts, Automation for Jira Server.
