When loading Jira we have extreamly slow loading times of 20 sec and more. We narrowed down the problem to the huge batch.js file that need to be cached when loading for the first time. In may case the batch.js has 11MB. We use a couple of popular plugins to customize JSD to our needs.
Do you have any advice how to improve the loading behavior instead of just disabling the plugin?
Best regards
Hi Marco,
I understand that you are seeing a very long load time for Service Desk pages in your site. While it appears that you have tracked this down to an 11MB batch.js file, this is not something that I see in my own Service Desk site.
So I think you are probably correct that there is one or more plugin for Service Desk that is adding significant content to that file. But looking your account details that I can see, it appears that you have several plugins for Service Desk.
I would suggest that you try to disable some of these plugins, one at a time, in order just to test how the load times change. This way you can better identify which plugin or plugins are causing this behavior. This is not suggested to be a permanent solution, but rather a troubleshooting step used to better identify which plugin is causing this poor page loading performance. I have a suspicion as to which plugin it might be, but I don't want to bias the results with my prejudice.
So try doing that, and once you have narrowed the plugins, it might be needed to reach out to that plugin vendor's support to try to better resolve this problem.
Cheers,
Andy
