Jira sends two emails to user when service ticket is created

Hi everyone,

When service requests are opened, users are getting duplicate emails informing them a ticket has been opened for them.

I can not find anything in settings that would tell me why they are or where to change it.

Any advice?

Thanks

One possibility is that automation is sending the second email. Another possibility is that you have an addon, e.g. JEMH that is sending a notification. I would closely inspect the emails for any differences. Maybe even temporarily change the standard create notification so you can verify if the source is the same.

If the emails are sent by JEMH you will find the following headers on the emails for Server and Cloud respectively:

  • X-JEMH-NOTIFICATION: true
  • X-SentBy-JEMHC: true

I will check that and let you know. Thank you both
