I am using Insight with Jira cloud. Developing the user object type in Insight, I wanted to tie them to Service Desk customers. That option is available in Insight, but when checked it does not bring in customers. It is able to pull in Service Desk users. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Thanks much.
Aha! So it turns out its quite simple, you have to leave the "Type Value" Blank! Do not select any of the Jira groups.
Does this work for JSM customers that have portal-only accounts? Any time I try to add, with Type Value blank, it won't let me add.

I have the exact same problem, I really hope there is a way to do it!
I use Insight to manage laptops and other hardware that we hand out to our staff, these people are only customers of ours they don't use Jira itself. It would be amazing if we could use customers in the User attribute, this would allow us to show the equipment that is assigned to them when they log a ticket.
