Jira Service Desk Customer Portal View

Lisbon Cruz November 14, 2024

I'm sure this is just something I am overlooking but I have searched everywhere and I can't seem to find it. In on of the jira service desk, there's a "more actions" field for customers to see on the portal view. I can't seem to find where to set this. I thought it would be on view screen. I am trying to do the same on one of my project and I searched for over an hour already. I checked permissions, request types, workflow transitions, customer permissions. I figured I'd ask instead of just getting frustrated. Hopefully someone can help. The first pic is one of the projects in our jira instance with the "more actions" and the second pic is the one I am editing.

Hi @Lisbon Cruz

The "More option" you mentioned does not appear to be a native feature of JSM; it may be attributed to a third-party application installed in your instance. Could you please check your project settings to see if there is an app menu on the left side of the screen?

Best regards

Hi @Samuel Gatica _ServiceRocket_ I believe it's using this:

https://deviniti.com/support/addon/server/actions/latest/transition-configuration/

What I don't understand is that on the workflow, there is an option to to "show transition in the customer portal". But this is unchecked in the project that has is (in my first screenshot of my post) but it shows on the portal.

I see it now. It's at the bottom of the documentation. Thank you for the hint that it's an add on!

Just did! Thank you. Now I have to find the class and method it uses so I can write a groovy script to manipulate the fields. I think now that I have an idea where to look, it would be easier. I was kind of in the dark and had no clue what I was looking for yesterday. Wish there was a way to see what add ons each project uses.

Hi @Lisbon Cruz

I've not use JSM for a while, and if I recall the transition are on top of the Request Participant section by default. This one may be a custom panel created by an app such as Scriptrunner. You have to look for Fragment and need to be JIRA Admin to list them.
