Hi All,
User-installed plugin compatibilty check is required and important while planninh for an upgrade. Howver wanted to check about the system installed and Application compnets? Do we also need to check for them? or will this add ons automatically becaome compatible after the upgrade.
Thanks,
Shivani
Hello,
System plugins will be updated automatically, that is why you do not have to check them. If you have the Jira Service Desk Application or the Jira Software applications, then after upgrading Jira you should install the correct Service Desk or Software applications.
You can find Jira applications compability matrix here:
User-installed add-on you need to upgrade manually.

Hi @Alexey Matveev,
There are few user installed plugins that will be compatible to the new versions only after upgraging them.
I was planning to upgrade those Plugins manually after the JIRA upgrade.
Is this advisable? Will it have any impact ?

That is right. You should first upgrade Jira and then upgrade user-installed plugins and Applications.
