Hi,

I'm setting up JIRA Servicedesk for my organisation, and I'm just struggling with how to set the permissions for 'customers' (non IT staff members who will be logging Help Requests).

We have our portal address, and I want only staff members from my organisation to be able to log requests, and view their own requests.  I don't want them to have full JIRA accounts.

How do you restrict the logging of requests just to staff?

Cheers

Hi Michelle,

As long as you treat your staff as service desk customers then they won't have jira access.  Make sure they are not in the "jira-users" group which is generally the default group where jira access and licenses are granted.

Just add them in as customers either in the Customers section of the JSD OR from the role "service-desk-customers".

Hope that helps

Susan
