We are configuring the notifications. When you go to our Service Desk page there are several options you can select to make a request. So, for example you can create a request for different applications. We want to be able to notify a certain email address when you create a request for an application, as we have several different applications and each one is worked on by a different group. Our JIRA Admin says this is not possible. You can only create a notification scheme by event, so regardless of what application you select, when you create an event on our Service Desk everybody that has been assigned to get a notification will get it. Is there a way to fix this? I have attached the URL so you can see what I am talking about. So SRE Connect would go to one email address, Cloud_Infra_Network to another email address and so on. Thanks!
Hi Julie,
If you use components, you could attach a user as that component lead. You can then add in the notification scheme to notify the "Component lead" on create.
The "user" could be set up to be a distribution email list.
You can also use automation for Jira to email based on criteria that is in the request.
There are several ways to get around this.
Cheers,
Susan
