JIRA Service Desk Making Request to be in focus for accessibility

kyle toppazzini October 30, 2019

Hi I am creating a portal in Jira Service Desk and testing it for accessibility.  The forms seems to be all accessible however the field/button to select in the top right to see your requests does not appear to be in focus, i.e when I tab through on the browser this button does not get selected.  Can you tell me if there is a work around or have the newer versions corrected this?

Thank You

Hello Kyle,

Thanks for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

I tested here without using accessibility software on Chrome and Firefox and the Requests button is selected. Actually, it’s pretty difficult to realize that it’s selected, but after the Help Center menu, the next one to be selected is the Requests button and when I press Space it shows the options to see the requests “Created by me”.

Also, I would like to share some features and bugs related to screen readers:

Please, let us know more details of what software you are using and if possible, send us a screenshot or any other information that can help us replicate this issue, so we can create a bug or a feature.

Regards,
Angélica
