Is there a way to search for a Customer Request using Service Desk API?

How can I use the Service Desk Cloud API to search for Customer Requests e.g. using a custom field, or via a date range?

I was able to solve this by using the JIRA Cloud Platform API:

/rest/api/2/search

and passing a JQL expression

Currently, there is no option to search for requests based on custom fields. The available APIs you can find on our documentation:

• The Jira Service Desk Cloud REST API

For customer request, the APIs available are:

• Get customer requests
• Get customer request by id or key
• Get attachments for request
• Get request comments
• Get request comment by id
• Get comment attachments
• Get customer request status
