When selecting a specific transition for a service desk ticket, is it possible to create an issue automatically on the back of it?

You can use the built in Automation to create an issue when a JSD  issue changes Status.

Yes. If you try to set this up you will see where you can link the two. Simple task.

It doesnt look like you can.

 

Using When and If only gives the following:

No option to create linked issue in a different project.

Maybe it is different on Server. On cloud here is what I can do...

Hi Phillip,

It's impossible on Jira Server (without any app). This option is not available in the Automation section, also as a post function on the workflow.

Created in 2006, so maybe it will be resolved this year ;)
