In the section "Involve JIRA Software or JIRA Core users" it says:
The users can't...Be assigned to a service desk issue
But in the example, it says "Andrew, a JIRA Software developer on the network operations team, assigns this network issue to himself and starts working on it."
This is incorrect, Andrew can not assign this issue to himself without a JSD licence, right?
Hi there,
For example, Martin, an IT service desk team agent, links an incident ticket in a service desk project to an underlying network problem ticket in a JIRA Software project. Andrew, a JIRA Software developer on the network operations team, assigns this network issue to himself and starts working on it.
It's not really clear but what happens is that Martin, an SD member, creates or finds a ticket in a Jira software project and links the two. This is how SD and non-SD members can work together. I think in this case there is already a network issue ticket and Martin just links another incident to it.
In the end, Andrew, the software project member, comments on the linked SD ticket.
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Krisz

Ah, I did not see that linking part. My bad really, thanks for your reply and good luck with your high score quest!
