I have never requested for a workspace to be created in my name. I dont know why I received this email saying that I am now the admin to my workspace.
Hello @Glenda Hernandez
This does not necessarily mean that you created something yourself.
Atlassian has been gradually rolling out Goals / Projects (Platform Experiences), and some organizations are automatically enrolled during that rollout. Because of that, admins or users can receive notification emails even if they did not explicitly enable it themselves.
So this email may simply be related to that feature rollout rather than a manual change in your organization.
If you want to confirm it, I would check with your organization admin or look in Atlassian Administration to see whether Goals / Projects were enabled there.
Have a great Sunday ☀️
Hi @Glenda Hernandez !
I too recently got a similar email, and site was created in my name, darrylleerokuworkspace-12345678.
Two things are curious about this:
1. The site has only THREE APPS: Goals, Loom, and Projects (is there even a way to sign up for just those three apps?
2. The site was created while I was on a plane, flying from Boston to Denver.
My best guess is that I was trying to do some work, and may have been trying to log in from both my phone and my laptop via Southwest's spotty wifi.
Atlassian unfortunately has a history of making it way too easy to accidentally create new sites. They finally addressed this around July of 2025, by making their product landing pages (what you see when you Google for jira or confluence, which many many people do) stop trying have logged-in users create new sites, but instead, show them which sites they already have access to.
When they introduced Service Collection we got a few mistakenly created sites (about 1 a month since Oct 2025), maybe they were advertising heavily on Google and a search for jira would surface a link to Jira Service Management.
But this is a new one. I'm going to file a ticket.

Hi @Glenda Hernandez ,
As stated, these features are part of Atlassian Home, which is a central hub connecting all cloud apps. It now comes as soon as you 'install' any cloud app.
From my experience, Goals and Projects are quite cool and can be really useful.
Anyway, here are a couple of relevant links that might help:
| Projects | Goals |
Cheers,
Tobi
