I am so used to setting up a request as a category instead of a statement, for instance Software>Microsoft Office>Word. How can we set up Service Desk to do the same if possible?
Kimberly, not sure if understand your question but will try to zero in on it with this....
JSD allows you to set up request types into groups so you in effect have two levels supported in each project - Group>Request Type
example:
Group = Software
Request Types = Word, Excel Jira, Salesforce, etc.
