How to send automatic email to the particular project coordinator ?

HI,

We have created one portal where a user can raise query related to there project.for this, we have created one custom field with name project.when user select there project from the list, then the request is automatically forward to a respective project coordinator via email.

I want to add this feature to my JIRA SD. How can I achieve this?

for eg-

[ Project name filed ]--->1- Online shopping

                                         2-embedded project etc

if ABC is a responsible person for the 1- Online shopping &  XYZ for the 2-embedded project.

If user  select  1- Online shopping from the list then request need to forward to ABC  via email.

Where is the Assignee setting is present?

I may be missing something but suggest one of the following:

• use Request Types for setting the Assignee. Use different request types like  online shopping and embedded project etc. use automation to set Assignee based upon request type. Set notifications to email assignee
• use Components field and set default Assignee to each. Set the Components field as required when opening issues via portal.
