How to get Service desk tickets assigned to Jira software users?

We have 3 Service desk users and we are unabel to assign the issues to Jira software users and change respective statuses. Please help us in configuring this feature.

You have two options:

  • add developers (Jira users) as agents. Rarely is this the right option
  • created linked issues to the SD issue in the appropriate Jira project. Move the SD ticket into a ‘development’ Status. Use automation to transition the SD issue once Jira issue transitions.

Service Desk tickets can only be assigned to user with the Jira Service Desk Application Access. To assign the ticket to Jira Software users, you'll need to add them to the Jira Service Desk Application Access.
