How to fix broken task search in Jira Cloud?

Dear Community,

We´ve recently started to face issues with basic (and advanced) task search. We are not able to search for already submitted tasks within our project using any kind of keywords. Based from what I´ve read across various discussions it seems like the indexing of our project is corrupted/broken. That´s probably why it has issues now with searching for tasks, basically any kind of varchar inserted into the search field won´t produce any results.

Unfortunately I´ve also read that you are not able to re-index anymore in Jira Cloud workspace. So logically now I need to ask, is there any kind of real fix for our issue? Or we have to say good bye to search feature and pray it will be re-indexed automatically after some time?

If you are saying previous working searches are now not working and your confidence is high on this fact I would recommend reaching out directly to Atlassian Support. There is a link in the Explore modal at the top of this page. For sure reindexing is automatic in cloud.
