Hi @Shaik Asif Ali !

To export the JSM project field data, you can use such options:

  1. Go to Filters →All work items → Advanced Search (JQL). Use a query like:  project = PS (in this case, it's a People Support project from JSM). Then, click Export and choose CSV (all fields).Frame 1 (12).pngYou'll get a file with all visible fields and their values for the requests in that project.
Note: It only includes fields present in those requests, not every configured field in the project. Also, it doesn't include the history of field changes; it only shows the latest data.
  2. Try Issue History for Jira app from SaaSJet team. Using it, you'll get a complete overview of all fields used, including custom fields and their changes over time.

It helps you:

  • Track every field change across your JSM projects.

  • Export reports to Excel or CSV.

  • See who changed what and when exactly it happened.

After installing the app, open it and select the work items for the required project from JSM (e.g., the People Support project). Also, you can choose the exact updater and date range needed. In the Columns menu, select all the needed fields (e.g., Employee ID, Department, etc.). Export the report in Excel or CSV formats.

Hope this will be helpful in your case!

Hi @Shaik Asif Ali

I mean, you could use native exporter to CSV format, where you can manually select or choose to export all fields.

What would also be my recommendation is MS Excel add-in, which is developed by Atlassian and that's quite good IMO.

As for all fields that are being used, you could probably export all fields in CSV (as mentioned above) and see which fields are populated. Or, you could use some REST APIs to get the list of all fields and again, check the ones that have values. Usually, the fastest way is to manually check which fields are on screens and in item views, but there could be some fields 'in the background' that are filled automatically and which you don't see when you look at the ticket 👀

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Tobi

Hi @Shaik Asif Ali

I did research, and can't find any option that will return all fields used in the JSM.

You can use the following API documentation to retrieve fields for the specific request type, if it will help.
