Hi everyone.
We use SAFe and we struggle on some corporate process and policy constrains due to which we have to have one User Story in one board under a different project and a copy of it in our project board. We do this with 5 different trains. It's time consuming to update everything in both boards and it would make sense if the two may be linked, paired, and with any update on one the other would be updated too.
Is there a way how to do this in JIRA or should we develop our own solution?
Thank you in advance.
Hi @jurash12
Welcome to the community! This is Majid @ Exalate.
As long as the two stories are on the same Jira instance, then Jira automation would be the way to go. If the source and target tickets are on different Jira instances, then you will need to employ an issue synchronization app such as Exalate to effectively do this (and much more).
Hope it helps.
Thanks
Majid
Hi @jurash12 ,
You can use automations in order to keep different issues in sync ...
Here goes just a little example:
https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/automation-template-library/rules#/rule/1357123
You will need to create different automations in order to cover different combinations.
Cheers!
