How to change the status of a request in service desk from waiting for support to pending?

I am able to update the ticket with "Escalate" , "Resolve the issue"  and " cancel Request" with api url = "https://url/rest/api/2/issue/{ticket issueid}/transitions?expand=expand.fields".

Does your workflow allow the ticket to transition from waiting for support to pending?

Please check the following:

  • There is an arrow from waiting for support to pending in the workflow
  • Any validators that might block the transition
  • Any conditions that might block the transition

What response do you get from the rest call?

thanks , I got the solution.

In workflow , we have different status with its transition value using that now i am able to change the status.
