"Portals" do not have boards in Jira, they are a separate interface for customers.

On a Kanban board inside Jira though, go to the board, look for board configuration -> columns, and add one in there.

Thanks, i did the same as you suggested but after adding column its not showing. It says only if you add status then column will be visible. But when i tried adding the status it shows "only who have admin project access can add the status"

 

PS - Iam a site Admin

You need to be Project Administrator, not only jira-admin

Go to Project -> Your Project -> Permission -> Add yourself to Administer project.

But better way is to add yourself to Role that already have this permission

Thanks and finally iam able to enable the ADD STATUS but now i want to create a category called FAILED and how to do that ?
