How do I configure an Office 365 shared mailbox?

I am trying to connect our team's Office 365 shared mailbox account to JIRA Service Desk, but am coming up with an issue. I can connect successfully, and provide not only the e-mail address, but also my user credentials (since I am an authorized user to that shared mailbox). The mail handler then pulls in all of the e-mails sent to the shared mailbox AND my inbox!

 

Is there a proper way to configure this in Service Desk? Our IT won't provide our team with a unique e-mail account due to O365 licensing agreements. My only other thought is to put a forwarding rule on the shared mailbox to forward all e-mails to the jira e-mail account that Service Desk creates, but I'm afraid that there is too much of a delay in processing to get timely inquiries.
