Hiding the transition in view screen

We have a requirement to hide the certain transitions in the view screen and these transitions need to be updated through the code.

We had explored the option of adding the workflow condition to hide the transition, it works i.e it is not available in the view screen but looks like it is not even available to update through the code as well.

You can't hide transitions from the view screen.

Screen and Workflows do not relate. You can block transitions for users or groups.

Hiding a transition, is only useful if you want an automated transition to be actioned, based on certain criteria and not by a user.
