Help! Need to swap the field requested participants with reporter

Hey - been trying this for a few hours but would HUGELY appreciate any help on this!
I'm receiving tickets from a system, and it's adding the users affected as a participant, and the reporter being the system. I would like use automation in jira to make the participant the requester once the ticket is created. is this possible?
