Hi,
I have set up an email address for costomer requests to Gmail account (after overcoming their security issues). But any of incoming mails to this account is not creating an issue in our Jira service desk project.
We used other mail address before not connected to Gmail before which was working fine. (all incoming emails were instantly transformed into inssues in same Jira service desk project).
I have no idea, where is a problem. Why these received emails in our Gmail account are not created as an issue in our Jira service desk project as before.
Can someone tell me which settings in jira or gmail are important to make this work ?
Thank you
It would be difficult saying what the problem is without looking at your incoming mail log/service desk log.
The reason for this is that we will be able to tell why there is a failure from this.
Regards.
To get my setup running on a next gen project, I had to:
1. create an App Specific password within the google account
2. Register that on https://<yoursite>.atlassian.net/projects/SUPP/settings/channels/email
3. Wait 5 minutes
4. Repeat steps 1-3, a total of 3 times
5. Wait overnight
6. Repeat 1-3 one more time
Magically it works now.

I have exactly the same problem, only with gmail incoming mails, which do not create tickets in the project.
But other email services do not present this problem.
Any idea?
Thanks a lot,
Pol.
