Export provides correct tickets but shows wrong columns

Stephan Nowak June 8, 2020

When I select an existing filter it provides the correct information. When I try to export the data, in any format, I receive the columns of the last filter that I saved.  For example, I saved a filter with 5 columns and saved it as Filter 1.  I then run an existing filter named Filter 2 with 10 columns.  When I export Filter 2, the result reflects the 5 columns of Filter 1 with the data of Filter 2.

Hello @Stephan Nowak

Thank you for reaching out.

Per your description, I believe you might be facing the bug reported below:

When exporting issues to CSV ( Current fields), for saved filters. If we have chosen certain columns in the “Filters” section, its ignored and columns from ‘Default’ section gets exported

Explaining better, you have two views of Columns in the issue navigator:

System view: The default columns displayed to all users when using the issue navigator.

Your personal View: The customized columns only displayed to your user.

If you edit the columns of a new filter without saving it, the columns selection used in the CSV export will be the ones selected in the System view, not in your personalized Default View. Can you confirm if this is the behavior you are facing?

Feel free to vote and watch the bug to increase its priority and also receive notifications about its fix implementation.

To work around the bug, save the filter once again before running the CSV export.
