Emailed notification to an issue with an image or attachment

Deleted user November 4, 2019

When adding comments to an issue in Jira Service Desk you can insert images and attachments and the reporter is notified by email.   On the notification email sent back to the reporter, images appear as thumbnails and attachments appear as links. Both require the reporter to log into Jira to see the full version.

Are there any system admin controls to have the images come out bigger in the notification?

Also can you send the actual attachment out as part of the notification (an example would be a PDF help document)?

Thanks!

Hi Nigel,

Thanks for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

We understand that it would be easy for the customer to download and view the attachments in the email notification, but for them to check all the details they need to log in and it also prevents them to forward this email that may contain sensitive information in the attachments to someone that doesn't have permission on the ticket.

With that said, we have feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:

Angélica
