We have defined a project role "Agents to be notified".
We have added this role to [user] via the project's People.
We have granted all permissions to the project role in the notification scheme.
We do not get any notifications.
Notification helper states:
[user] receives notifications for the 'Issue Created' event.
[user] does not get notified of their own changes.
Does anyone have other hints on what could be causing the problem?

I saw that you created a ticket with our support about the same issue and the resolution was to set the “Should customers receive JIRA notifications?” to Yes.
The configuration can be found in Jira settings > Products > Configuration.
I'm sharing this information here in case other community members face the same issue.
