Hi all
We run a JIRA Service Desk 4.4.1 (Server) with Jira Software 8.4.2 (Server) on a Windows Server 2016 and an Windows Server 2016 PostgreSQL-Server.
As per requirement we need to make one of our servicedesk privat but it needs to be able to receive mails from unknown senders.
So we went to the permissions schemes and removed the "Browse Projects" permission for "Service Desk Customer - Portal Access" for this project.
Additionally added a custom group to the permission "Browse Projects" for the customers we actually do want to access the portal.
This works like a charm, BUT:
Opening the project as an administrator we receive this error:
"This service desk project has configuration problems and may not work as expected."
My question is:
Is this a valid way to run the servicedesk or will this cause unexpected errors?
Is there another way to implement the requirements?
Best Regards
Hanno
