Im currently testing the customer experience of signing up to our JIRA site, however i ran into some issues.
I have enabled public sign-up in order for customer to create an account on our site, and I have manually added some test customers to our project.
The problem is that when i have to sign-up with a customer account it says that customer is already registered, if they have already sent an email through the email channel. I don't want to set a password for the customer, but rather let them create their own one from the beginning.
In order for the customer to sign-up right now they have to reset the password by email and then create a new password instead, since they have registrered but without a password. I think this happens because they have automatically signed-up by sending an email to the email channel, since it will automatiaclly add them under customers for our project.
Also we are transferring from Zendesk to JIRA Service Desk, so we want add as many customers manually as possible. But can we do this while the customer still has the ability to create their own password, without having to reset it when they sign up.
