Connecting Tenable.SC to JIRA

I am running a tenable.SC instance and was about to connect the JIRA Server (installed: Jira Software 7.13 + Jira Service desk 3.16 + Jira Core 7.13) via Tenable.Jira.PlugIn.

Doing so, I am getting the error message: "There is an issue submitting request. Please contact administrator."
which does not make any sense to me. No log entries (as of I was able to find) and a SSL verification shows, that the servers can reach out to each other.

Whats going wrong ??
Thanks upfront.

Hi Peter,

I understand that you are getting an error when trying to configuring this Tenable plugin with Jira.  I have to admit, I don't have much experience with this specific plugin, but I am interested to see if we can help here.

Could you let me know at what point you are seeing this specific error message?  Is this within the plugin's configuration page in Jira?   Perhaps a screenshot or two might help us to understand when this is happening.

I'd also be interested to see if we can sneak a peek at the $JIRAHOME/log/atlassian-jira.log file.  It might give us some clues about this problem.

I also found in Tenable's own documentation, that is seems their own plugin does have different logging levels that can be adjusted within Jira.  Check out https://docs.tenable.com/integrations/jira/Content/set_log_level.htm

If the current logs aren't showing us anything of value, perhaps you can increase the logging level here and recreate the problem to see if the logs might capture something more helpful here.

Regards,

Andy
