So, I would like to re-use some costume fields in several issue types to avoid having too many of them. Obviously on the user end of things I can edit their names as much as I want, thus making it easy, but it becomes a mess when the actual issue comes in and we need to figure it out. Like, lets say I want a field called "Various 1" and "Various 2", single line text fields to use across multiple issue types for small input things. Is there a way to set their names on the case worker side so that instead of the case worker seeing "Various 1" he may see "First Name" in issue type A, and "Home City" in issue type B?
Something like this would be nice to greatly lower the amount of costume fields needed, thus taking up less resources.
While you cant change the name of the custom field on a per project basis, you can use field configurations to change the description. The description is the small light grey text next to the field in the edit screen. Not perfect, but it is something.
