Cannot access Jira SD project after the migration

Sergiu S December 10, 2019

Dear All.

We have recently testing migration from out Jira Server to Jira Cloud, but it seems that Jira SD project cannot be accessed after the migration. All permissions are in place and we have used the user guide from here https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/migrate-from-jira-server-to-jira-cloud-972349848.html.

We receive the below errors

This project isn't available

It may have been deleted or your permissions may have changed.

and

JIRA — Internal Server Error

Sorry, we had some technical problems during your last operation.

Error reference: 3cccbb4d-4c9f-4939-9ca0-2460aa2d9f03.

Could someone help us on solving the above issues???

Regards,

Sergiu

Hello Sergiu,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Just to make sure that we are on the same page, I would like to confirm if this issue happens when you go to Jira settings > Projects and click on the name of the project.

I’m asking because, on Jira Cloud, there are two options to access the project settings. When a site-admin/administrator doesn’t have access to a project, there is another menu to access the project settings.

If you are only accessing by clicking on the project’s name, please try the second option by going to the projects’ page and instead of clicking on the name, click on … on the right side:

Please, let us know if it works, and if it shows an error, please send us a screenshot.

Also, check the developer tools on your browser while accessing the projects to check if it shows any additional information.

Regards,
Angélica

Hello Angelica.

Thank you for your reply.

If I will choose directly the project from the list of the projects, then it takes forever to open it (see below)

issue1.png

If I will choose Project Settings for that project using the same Project tab, then I get the below

issue2.png

And

issue3.png

But all the permission are in place.

Please let me know if there is something else to check.

PS: I’ve tried to reimport it (delete it from the cloud and importing again using the same zip folders, applying the necessary rights and adding the respective groups), but we go the same issue.

PS2: Cannot import JPG pictures in Chrome - Incorrect format error. PNG format worked.

PS3: Replied to you via email Yesterday, but this cannot be seen here.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Sergiu

Thank you for the details and screenshots.

When you access the project settings, can you click on “People” and check if you were added to the project? If it shows an error message, please let us know.

Have you checked your profile to see if you are part of other groups that give permissions to projects?

Hello Angelica.

Thank you very much for your help! It seems that my user needed to be added to Service Desk Team using People group and not to set up permissions somewhere else.

Have a nice day ahead!

Regards,

Sergiu
