Get notification:
"This service desk project has configuration problems and may not work as expected."
I select: View error details and repair the problem.
Pop-up error:
Rules will run as if performed by the following user (siegfried sutherland).
The selected user does not have permission to perform this action."
This user has left the organisation.
I click on the drop-down to select another user. It states "No Option".
I changed all the automation rules to run as the user who initiated it. It still does not help.
What to do?
Changing to “user who triggere” should work but seems to not be. I would recommend creating a new automation that replicates the current and then delete the old.
We "appointed" another Jira administrator and then deleted the previous account. The confusion was not knowing what level of access is required to run automated rules, because the user who triggered it may only be a Service Desk agent.
This should actually be based on a role - not a specific user.
