Hi,
We have setup a Triage status in our JIRA system for our support team. It would be helpful if tickets in this status did not show on any boards or searches by default for a particular user group. In our case so that our Developers are not viewing them before they are triaged. I'm aware of changing the filter on each board but this does not stop them showing up in a search and is cumbersome to update each board. Wondering if there is a permission setting that hides tickets from a particular user group in the system if in a particular status?
Regards,
Jason
Hey @Jason Greene
Have you considered setting up and applying an issue security scheme? It allows you to control who can see and limits the issue visibility to users/roles/groups.
You can then use automation for Jira to automatically apply update the security level for the issue(s) based on your criteria (in the form of a JQL).
Furthermore, once you’ve set that use you also have the option to apply the same issue security scheme to as many projects you’d like.
Best,
Hamza
Thanks for your reply. Could you provide me with more info on how I could apply this to a particular status within the workflow? I'm not very familiar with the issue security scheme and not something we have implemented in any scenario yet.
Appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Jason
