Can't find Help Desk project settings

Greg Rochford April 3, 2019

I'm trying to change some of the request types after setting up a service desk and I can't seem to find the settings in the side bar.

I'm using this link for clues

https://confluence.atlassian.com/get-started-with-jira-service-desk/create-service-desk-request-types-917968307.html

I was able to modify them when I first set it up, and I am a Site Admin so I don't think it's a permission thing

Any help greatly appreciated.

Greg, I'm guessing you are asking how to modify the request type once it is created? If so, i regret to say that you cannot. Please see this long standing request - JSDCLOUD-349. You have to add the new one. bulk update the existing issues w/ the current one to the new one. delete the old request type.

Hi Jack,

Thanks for your reply. I don't need to modify a request type, I should have been more specific. I just need to modify the wording or add extra types. I know I can do it because I changed the $ to a £ at some point. I just can't seem to find how I did it.

go to project > project settings > request types. in there you can modify the name, description, fields, etc. for request types. The one thing you cannot do is change the associated Issuetype.
