Currently I've an instance of self-hosted Confluence and the associated license...
Now I started using Jira Service Desk hosted in the cloud... and in order to "Create knowledge base content" is requesting also Confluence license.
My question is, can I re-use this? Or must be a new license?
Hello @Joaquin Fernandez ,
it is not possible to use a Server licence on a Cloud product, you will need to purchase a new one.
Let me know if you have any questions,

Hi @Alexis Robert ,
Thanks a lot for your replay.
Just to double check, this means that if I would like to use the "create knowledge content" feature in JIRA service Desk, I have two options:
* Move everything into a Cloud Confluence
* Purchase another Confluence page and have both licenses
Is that correct? Or is there another option I can save all this efforts or having two licenses?
Thanks a lot!!!
Best Regards
Joaquín

Hi @Joaquin Fernandez ,
you knowledge content will be in Confluence, this can either be Confluence Cloud or Confluence Server but it's different from Jira Service Desk: both applications will work together so that your users can see your knowledge base articles inside Jira for example.
If you want to provide knowledge content in Jira, you need 2 licences: one for Jira, one for Confluence. Then the number of users for those licences will depend on several things but basically that's it.
Let me know if you have any questions,
