Hi,
I am setting up a Service Desk instance, with 4 projects. 1 of these projects need to be accessible to anyone, the other 3 only to provisioned accounts.
For the 250+ staff members who will need to be able to access these projects as customers, I have setup user provisioning from our identity provider, and configured SSO.
Now that they are in I cannot work out how to easily add them all as customers to the projects.
Ideally, I would like all provisioned users to regularly synchronize to the Organization customer list, which I can then add to each project customer list. This would prevent new users from having to be added manually.
I'm looking for any ideas on this, a workaround or App that has functionality for this.
Hello Mark,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
On Jira Service Desk, as you mentioned, we can let projects open to any user and customer and projects closed/restricted, so only people added by agents and admins will have access.
With that said, when we create new users and customers or sync users from an Identity Provider, they will be automatically added to the project that is open. For closed projects, it will be necessary to manually add them.
It's not necessary to add one by one, you can make a list with their emails and paste to the box that opens when we click on "Add customers" on the project.
We have a feature request suggesting to allow user groups to be added in Organizations, which would be easier in those cases:
Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the feature.

Angélica
Hey Angelica,
Thanks for the update. I have voted and followed that request.
I really hope this sort of functionality is added in the future, as without it management of internal customers becomes extremely cumbersome quickly.
Thanks again.
Cheers,
Mark
