Automated Response Delay

jlee April 5, 2021

Hello,

I have created an automated response to reply to/acknowledge the customer when a Sev 4 is created.  It current generates as son as the ticket is created.  How can I delay this automated response for 60 seconds?

Hi @jlee

Does the 60 sec delay really matter ?

You can achieve the use-case by using much complex rules in Automation for Jira ( setting & clearing custom fields and running scheduled job every minute or use Zapier + webhooks ) but at the end of the day these are complex rules .. Also you dont want a scheduled trigger running every minute which will consume all of your executions

Current state: automated response to customer generates/sends immediately after the ticket is received.  The customers knows it was not sent by an actual person in this case because the reply was instant.

Desire state: I want to generate/send the automated response roughly 60 seconds or so after the ticket has been created.
