Did you mean:

Add all users to a group

david.witherspoon December 10, 2019

Can't seem to find an answer that works. Scenario:

Have an instance of jira with ~300 users and has been used internally in the past. We Are working with a partner now who I need to have access to only their project. All I can think is to add all employees to a group and change permission schemes to allow browse projects to that group and then have the 3rd party be another group that can access the other project. Other suggestions are welcome but for lack of another option, anyone have a good way to add everyone to a new group?

Hi David, maybe you can configure the project using an organization to handle your users.

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-desk-cloud/docs/add-an-organization-to-a-service-desk-project/

Hide all projects that shouldn't be available and add an organization in the partner project with all your users in it. Then allow only users added in the project to see it (Project Settings > Customer Permissions > Customers my team adds to the project).

The difficulty may be to add 300 users once in the organization, but maybe it could work with a copy/paste of an excel column with users email.

Let me know if you try this way and need help.

Best regards
