Hey all - thank you for the comments!
@johan.wikstrom - it's not currently possible to set default views, but thank you for the question - we will take it on as feedback and consider it for future releases!
@David Washburn - our suite of Change management features are built to be used in company-managed projects - this feature won't work in team-managed projects at the moment.
@Andrey Kiyanovskiy - thank you for the suggestion. I'd love to hear some more details about how you'd like to use that. How do you see yourself using that feature?
Great feature. I would also like to see integration into Outlook and other mail applications and the ability to publish a read-only version to management regardless if they have a license or not.

@Lewis Cook thanks for the questions. We're looking to ship the ability to turn on change management features (including the change calendar) in non-ITSM JSM projects in early August! I will comment here to update you if anything changes there.
Thank you for this. My existing Service desk project was created some time ago on Service Management template. Is it possible to get this change calendar activated to this?
I saw some comments saying that Atlassian team was working on to enable this feature old projects.
My existing Service desk project also was created some time ago on Service Management template. Any estimates when these features will be available for those?

@Gabriel Raubenheimer the initial estimate for this being available in Service management templates was mid August.
We are now nearly in October without it being available or an update of when it might be available, it's quite frustrating as I could probably have migrated our service management project by now had I known it would be this long!
How can I make the change calendar available to non-JSM licenced users? The requirement is we have a situation where we would like to make all Tech people aware of a Change freeze. Not all Tech users have a JSM licence. We cannot grant a JSM licence to all tech due to additional licence costs. All Tech have a Jira software license.

@Allister Scicluna I've gone and voted on that ticket as it certainly makes sense. Sadly from my experience I think we are even less likely to get that ticket addressed by Atlassian in a decent timescale then we are to even get a response on when the new feature discussed in the parent article here.
Key point response not even delivery of the intended functionality!
I've tagged @Gabriel Raubenheimer seeking an update on his "early August" timescale when it had disappeared in the wind to no avail. I wonder if perhaps he's no longer at Atlassian?
How about defaulting to month view (or letting the admin set it). Or get rid of the scroll view and just scale it (or make it an option). Our changes happen late at night, not in the middle of the day (who does production changes during the day???). We've had instances of users miss seeing the schedule because they didn't scroll. (yes, silly user tricks, but still).

Hey team,
I'm happy to say you are now able to turn on Change Management functionality (including the Change calendar) from a non-ITSM JSM project!
Apologies for the slow response here; we're currently not promoting this because it is still in the feature labs. Changes made are currently irreversible - after assigning a request type to an ITSM category, you can not re-assign it back. We are working to enable this functionality, but if you would like access early, you can turn this on in the Features page in Project settings.
Is this only for JIRA Service Management cloud and not for Data Center Implementation? We are really looking forward to it but are on Data Center model of JIRA SM - please suggest.
Hi, Is it possible to publish the change calendar to the service portal so our end users have visibility to the planned changes. If not, is there an alternate way to share this with end users?
