Multiple idea templates

I would like to send users down different flows depending on problem or idea but can only use one idea template from what I can see.

Is there a way to achieve this currently and then do some kind of branching upon idea entry?

Currently the idea creation form can be based on only one template and you can either make all fields mandatory or none (besides the summary which is mandatory). 

It would be indeed great if multiple templates can be used for the idea creation. It is an old request and hopefully we get it sooner than later.
