[Hierarchies] How to filter nested elements in a board view?

Hi there,

After carefully following the Tanguy's articles about the JPD hierarchy feature, I've been able to do what I wanted to achieve, but not totally.

Imagine:

  • a roadmap view, 3 columns: Now, Next Later.
  • an idea with child solutions : "a solution" and "another solution"
  • "a solution" has a Now delivery target, "another solution" has Next

What I've done: as Tanguy recommended, the Target field at the Idea level is a multi select, with Now + Next values, so it appears on both columns, with the nested Solutions items.

Great.

But, this in my Now and Next columns, I see both "a solution" and "another solution", which is less great.

What I want is to filter the ideas nested elements based on their respective targets.

Any idea how to do this?

See the image below for a more graphical demonstration.

Thanks.

Yes: open your "Filter" menu, and in the "Connections" section choose the "Match columns" option.

Can you confirm if this works for you?

Thanks

PS: THANK YOU for the drawing, it made it perfectly clear at a glance what you were looking for
