Has there been any updates on making Group by Status workflow-aware in JPD

When a view is filtered to one idea type, show only statuses included in that idea type’s workflow in the Hide/reorder groups panel.

Default the group order to the workflow order, allow that order to be inherited by new views, and show the applicable workflow or idea type when statuses from multiple workflows are displayed.

I think this would also improve governance and consistency. Once organizations start using dedicated workflows for different idea types, the workflow effectively defines the lifecycle of each idea type. It makes sense for status groups to automatically follow that lifecycle, especially when a view is already filtered to a single idea type.
