Hi! We add initiatives as Ideas to a particular Jira Product Discovery project (let's call it A) and want to see the Delivery progress & status tracked automatically here. However, the delivery work has been set up as another Jira Product Discovery project (let's call it B).
We have found that we can link an Idea from B directly to an Idea from A, but we cannot add an Idea from B in the Delivery tab of the Idea from A. This means we cannot track automatically, visually and in a simple way, the status of all Ideas from B that delivery the vision from the Idea in A.
Is there any way we could solve this? Or are there any plans to allow another Jira Product Discovery Idea as the Delivery of another Idea?
Thanks!
There's a workaround to make this works which is mentioned by Bill in his reply.
Basically, items in the Delivery tab will be displayed based on the link type used which in this case is the is implemented by link type.
So if you were to link your idea A to your idea B via this is implemented by link type, then idea B will become visible under idea A Delivery tab.

Thanks, Manu! This works perfect for us - unfortunately, we are not looking at Premium at the moment, so we'll go with the workaround.

Hi Raquel, that's not supported - ideas don't really support the concept of "delivery progress". However you could try using Connections for this purpose instead:

Hi Tanguy, I went with the workaround that Bill and ManuR suggested and that works perfectly fine. Before that, we were following one of the video tutorials to add and create delivery tickets directly from a product discovery project. Thanks all!

I do not believe that is possible as it seems to have been intentionally prevented in the UX / code. And, I have not tried to add the special "Polaris" link type used by the Delivery tab by other means to trick it into working (e.g., automation rules, REST API, etc.)
Have you investigated the new JPD hierarchy features for a Premium license site:
Kind regards,
