Rovo can now understand your Jira Product Discovery views, here's what that unlocks

Ever wished your AI assistant could just see what you're looking at in JPD?

If you use Jira Product Discovery to manage ideas, prioritize bets, and build roadmaps, you know the pain: you curate a perfectly filtered view, grouped by theme, scored by impact, filtered to a specific goal, and then you need to summarize it for a stakeholder, pull out patterns, or prep talking points.

That means manual work.

Not anymore.

What's new

Rovo now reads the full context of your JPD views. When you open Rovo while looking at a JPD view, it automatically understands:

  • The view title and description, so it knows what the view represents

  • Applied filters, so it respects the scope you've set

  • The ideas displayed, including their fields and metadata

This means you can have a natural conversation with Rovo about your view, grounded in exactly what you see.

What you can do with it

Ask Rovo things like:

  • "Summarize this view for an exec update"

  • "What are the top themes across these ideas?"

  • "Which ideas here have the highest impact but lowest effort?"

  • "Draft a status update based on what's in this view"

Rovo's response will be specific to your filtered, curated view, not a generic dump of your entire project.

Why this matters for product discovery workflows

Product managers live in JPD views. You build views for different audiences (leadership, engineering, design), different ceremonies (planning, reviews, retros), and different questions (what's high priority? what's blocked? what's new this week?). Now Rovo can meet you in that context and save you the translation work.

How to try it

  1. Open any view in Jira Product Discovery space

  2. Invoke Rovo

  3. Ask a question about what you see

That's it. No setup, no configuration.

What's next

This is a context-only release, we're shipping this first to learn how teams use it before deciding what to build next. Your feedback will directly shape what comes next.

Have you tried it yet? I'd love to hear what prompts work best for you, what's missing, or what workflow this unlocks. Drop your thoughts below 👇
