We are making it easier to share a roadmap with your teams and stakeholders. Publish view permission will be enabled for all creators, rather than being available only to space admins. The rollout of this change will start on June 16, 2026.
We found out that many users didn’t know they could share read-only roadmap views with stakeholders who don’t have app access. Second, even when they did know, they were often blocked because publishing permissions had to be enabled by an admin first. That extra setup made sharing more complicated than it needed to be, so teams often relied on screenshots, slides, or duplicate updates rather than sharing a live view of their roadmaps.
Publishing converts a working view into a live roadmap that stays up to date and can be shared with leadership, go-to-market partners, customers, and other stakeholders, giving them visibility into roadmap progress, priorities, and direction without requiring access to the full JPD space.
We’re simplifying the permission model so publishing is available to the people who most often need it: the Creators already doing the work in Jira Product Discovery. This change also supports a broader JPD goal: making roadmaps and views easier to share as living, up-to-date artifacts rather than static exports.
Example of read-only view published from Jira Product Discovery:
👉 Jira Product Discovery (JPD) roadmap 👈 Yes, we created our Public Roadmap in Jira Product Discovery and used the Publish View feature to make it accessible to you.
Use this change to review who has publishing permission and ensure your team has clear guidance for sharing published views. If your organization doesn’t allow external data sharing, you can manage this in your site’s Jira Admin Settings:
We will start rolling out this change on June 16, 2026, and complete it across all sites within two weeks. If you have feedback or a concern, click the “Feedback” button in the app and share it with us.
