Just wanted to know how everyone is naming sprints in their projects/ organization?
Well for us, we search for some movie lines or the name of a Greek or Roman God that embodies the goals of our Sprint. This way, we can easily remember what our goals are.
You may want to look at how you would want to get back to it in the future. JiraJared's recommendation is good.
Apart from that I would also recommend adding the Board Name. This is because in certain cases, Sprints can show up in other boards based on the filters on the boards. In this case, having the board name identify this. Something like Mobile-App FY20 Q1 Sprint 1. This is also helpful when adding the issues to sprint from the Jira Issue itself. When you have FY20 Q1 Sprint 1 on three different boards, then users back get confused and add this to the wrong board. This issue is discussed in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWSERVER-10805. Therefore it is best practice to also include the Board name.
