In our last Forge App Jam session (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3aBrbB87m0), we focused on automatically enforcing “link governance” in Jira with Forge product event triggers—detecting and cleaning up unwanted links as soon as they’re created.
In Episode 3, we build on that app and add real‑time feedback directly in the Jira issue view, so users immediately understand what just happened and why.
🔔 What we’re building in Episode 3
When your app automatically removes (or protects) issue links, silent changes can be confusing. In this hands‑on episode, we use Forge Realtime plus a Jira issue view background script to surface clear, contextual notifications to the right users, on the right issues.
Follow along to see the end‑to‑end flow: from product event triggers and governance logic, through realtime events, all the way to in‑product notifications that help your teams trust what they see in Jira and understand automatic changes as they happen.
